Multitouch for the masses, Dell SX2210T

Who could forget that famous scene from the film Minority Report when Tom Cruise leaves us dazzled with its giant multitouch screen?
Science fiction (originally known as prior literature) sooner or later eventually be realized in one form or another, finally, we starting to see the first multitouch devices for mass consumption (besides the iphone)

Only a few weeks ago, Dell launched a new monitor, SX2210T an LCD mulitouch capacity, and which had been allowed to see the Dell support page a few months ago. This is a 21.5-inch screen with native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 2 megapixel webcam pixels, 50,000:1 contrast ratio and support for gestures with one or two fingers. While the screen is far from Minority Report screen, this new Dell is the first multi-touch display with a price accessible, costing only U.S. $ 460U.
With this technologies accelerating pace, it is inevitable think about the way we interact with our computers and software will radically change very soon, especially in environments such as music production, design, advertising and entertainment.
